The culinary talents of our young up and coming chefs were on display today, as seven schools took part in the 2018 ACC Culinary Competition. The event was held at Holmesglen Waverley, with 27 students cooking up a storm in the kitchen and putting their creativity to use with their amazing culinary skills.

The quality of the competition went up another notch this year, the fourth time that we have held the event at Holmesglen. They have been wonderful supporters of the ACC and fully engage with our students and staff, providing guidance and fantastic feedback. Holmesglen also offers the use of their professional kitchens and facilities, creating a unique experience for our students and a taste of what it might be like to work in the food industry. We are appreciative of the partnership with Holmesglen and encourage the students within our association to consider them when looking at future study options. Feedback from the Holmesglen staff on the performance of the school teams was incredible. Comments such as “exceptional” and “incredibly talented” were passed on, as well as “….I would pay good money for this quality in a restaurant”. Needless to say our staff members worked diligently in preparing the boys and the quality of food presented for judging was first class.
