ACC Update: July 15th
The ACC Executive has made the decision to cancel all Term 3 sport and activities, with the exception of the following which will be run as virtual / online events:
– Intermediate Debating and Public Speaking (August 19th)
– Open Chess Tournament (August 20th)
– Cross Country Championship (September 9th)
– Rock Music “Battle of the Bands” (September 15th)
We will consider planning for Term 4 over the coming months and will continue to follow the advice of the Victorian Education Department and Catholic Education Commission of Victoria and will only return to our normal program when it is safe to do so.
Over the coming days we will also launch a number of alternate programs to engage the ACC Community during the lockdown period, including a new running challenge, a daily personal development challenge and a sports knowledge challenge. Details will be released shortly.
We extend our best wishes all of the students, staff and families from our member schools during this difficult time for all concerned.
ACC Update July 6th: Return to Sport Postponed
The ACC Principals made the decision today to postpone the planned resumption of the ACC sport and events program for Term 3.
Towards the end of Term 2, there were very positive signs that the strategies in place from Federal and State Governments for the suppression of Covid-19 were working effectively. The recent dramatic increase in localised infection numbers, along with the return of lockdown protocols in certain areas of Melbourne, provide a clear picture that there is still a long way to go in suppressing this virus. The safety and wellbeing of the students, staff and families within our school communities will always be the most important factor in any decision regarding our programs returning. As such, there will be no interschool sport or activities until there is advice from the Victorian Education Department and the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria that it is safe to resume.
There has been significant interruption to the academic and co-curricular programs for all ACC schools in 2020. We are hopeful that we can resume activities at some point in Term 3 and we will continue to keep you updated as best we can. The current state of emergency in Victoria is in place until July 29th. A further update from the ACC Executive will follow after that date.

ACC Update: June 4th
Planning is currently being undertaken amongst the ACC member schools regarding the anticipated resumption of ACC sport in Term 3. At this point, we are unable to make a firm decision until an announcement is made by the Victorian Government on the easing of restrictions. This will most likely take place once the current state of emergency finishes on June 21st. An update on Term 3 ACC sport and events will be communicated on all our social media platforms on Tuesday June 23rd.
ACC Update: May 21st
With face-to-face learning set to resume next week for senior students, the ACC can confirm that there will be no inter school sport or events undertaken for the remainder of Term 2. This is in accordance with the Victorian Government directive:
A further update on Term 3 sports and events will be released following further Government advice and consultation with Principals over the coming fortnight.
