Stage Band Workshop

Parade College played host to the annual Stage Band Workshop today, where students from a number of ACC schools gathered to refine their skills and learn from experts in the field. We were fortunate to have the Eugene Ball Quartet perform a set to kick off proceedings, with the audience mesmerised by the incredible control and skill of these jazz musicians. The remainder of the day was workshop focussed, with the Quartet members leading the students in a range of development pieces and a final performance item to close out the day. It was another wonderful example of collaboration between the schools, as the students mixed in together to produce some great music. Well done to all involved and a particular thanks to Martin Macaulay and the staff of Parade for a terrific job hosting the event.
